2006 State Department Country Reports on Human Rights Practices

In a press release yesterday, Secretary of State
Condoleezza Rice announced the publication of
the 2006 Country Reports on Human Rights
Practices. The reports are submitted annually
to Congress by the Department of State in compliance
with Sections 116(d) and 502B(b) of the Foreign Assistance
Act of 1961 (FAA), as amended.

Reports are organized on the web site by region,
then country. There is also an archive of past
country reports for the years 1999 - 2005.
